About Me

Who I am ?

I’m Azzedine, a web project manager, former graphic designer, and a compulsive builder of websites and platforms for over a decade now.

I’ve spent my career moving between disciplines that most people keep separate: designing the visuals, building web projects, and now managing the projects that bring both together.

Somewhere along the way, “just doing the work” turned into “wanting to build my own things” and that curiosity is what eventually led me here, to writing about all of it.

Where it started

It all began with design. Between 2011 and 2013, I studied graphic design at INSIAG Institute in Algiers, before getting my hands dirty in the industry, logos, visual identities, print work.

The web pulled me in fast. Starting in 2013, I became a webmaster: building sites for clients, first on Joomla, then WordPress became my main playground. For years, through various agencies and later as a freelancer, I helped Algerian businesses build their online presence: showcase sites, e-commerce, SEO, maintenance.

The itch to build my own thing

I always wanted to build my own projects, not just other people’s. That’s how Commect.net was born, a B2B platform designed to connect companies with the marketing and communication agencies best suited to their needs. A play on words between “communication” and “connect”.

The chapter where everything stopped

Four years ago, I went through a difficult period that forced me to put everything on hold and start over from zero. It’s not the easiest part to tell, but it’s part of the story, you don’t rebuild a career, or a life, without going through something like that.

Starting over, then moving forward

Rebuilding meant going back to the fundamentals: web project management, then WordPress maintenance and optimization. And today, I work as a Project Manager, running web development projects end-to-end, the bridge between clients, designers, developers, and QA.

Why this blog

This site used to be goodidea.agency. Now it’s becoming something more personal, where I share:

  • lessons learned over ten years across design, code, and project management,
  • ideas for platforms and products I’m exploring or have already launched,
  • behind-the-scenes of my current projects, the wins, the failures, and everything in between.
